Season's Greetings to all!!

MENY's efforts wouldn't be possible without:

MENY's results in 2009:

  • We have formed MENY PAC to work the political landscape in New York State
  • We have formed MENY's Act Now to work on taking actions to the next level in New York State
  • We will continue to educate through programs like Marriage Equality Day in Albany- Register Now!
  • We had the NYS Assembly pass the marriage bill for the 3rd time this year.
  • We had over 100 attendees in Albany for the Marriage Education Day in February 2009.
  • We had over 100 guests for MENY' s annual gala event at Bamboo 52.
  • We had a Wedding March in DC that brought national attention to the march.
  • We have recruited over 200 new active volunteers as Coordinators, Directors, and DCO throughout NYS.
  • We attended over 15 pride events throughout NYS reaching thousands of LGBTQ people in our community.
  • We lead "Lighting the Way to Equality" in response to Gov. Paterson calling on the NYS Senate to vote.
  • We launched an ad campaign in response to the NY State Senate's failure to vote on the marriage bill.

However, most importantly, in 2009 we have had:

The MENY Volunteers who put the "ROOTS" in grassroots!
They carry this movement with sheer determination for marriage equality,
making it happen on shoestring budgets and with not enough volunteer hours in the day.

Again, we thank each and everyone one of you who has stepped up in supporting our efforts.

At this holiday season, we do hope you will contribute to an organization that really puts the contributions we receive to good work.  We are an all-volunteer donation-funded grassroots 501c3 non-profit organization that works exclusively to bring marriage equality to New Yorkers through education, awareness, partnership, and advocacy.

Happy Holidays from Ron Zacchi, Executive Director at MENY & all our volunteer staff!

Please continue to hold NYS Legislators accountable
